A fun, easy to understand introduction to our solar powered weather cycle.

SEE the forces behind weather phenomena and FEEL the movements of the weather around them!

Excellent addition to the study of the water cycle and for geographic study of different climate zones.

 

 

  • We will investigate:

    atmosphere / clouds / water cycle / snow / changes of state / air pressure / tornadoes /lightening /wind

    Students k-8 will understand that:
    ---· all energy comes from the Sun
    ---· a weather report is a detective game, they can discover clues.
    ---· local weather is a result of GLOBAL happenings

      "Lightening" can be a hair raising experience!!!

      Program requirements:

      • One table and access to electricity
      • Open space for children to sit on the floor
      • Students who need a "science excitement" boost
      • Staff who will take that excitement and use it throughout the week

       

      Note:

      • Programs are 45 minutes in length, up to 4 programs at your school in one day.
      • Help another school book in your district and receive a credit toward your programs
